John Laurie
I started my career as a mortgage adviser back in 1991 working for Barclays bank at various branches in the Yorkshire region.
For the last 30 years I have worked as an Independent Whole of Market mortgage and protection adviser, holding full CeMAP qualifications.
A particular passion of mine is helping people get onto the property ladder and into their first home. I pride myself in trying to make the house buying process go as smoothly as possible and always been there on the other end of the phone to answer any questions.
I live in Horsforth near Leeds with my wife Sarah and Black Labrador, Frankie and have three grown up children.
In my free time I enjoy keeping fit with the gym and running and have taken part in a number of organised events, including the London and New York marathons as well as a charity walk up Kilimanjaro for Scope.
